Peter Fuller appointed chair of the Victorian Cancer Agency Consultative Council
The Hudson Institute’s Professor Peter Fuller has been appointed chair of the Victorian Cancer Agency Consultative Council.
The Council provides independent strategic advice to the State Minister for Health and the Department of Health and Human Services’ executive on matters relating to cancer research. It also provides strategic leadership to the VCA and drives innovation in all areas of translational cancer research.
Professor Fuller is the current Associate Director of the Hudson Institute of Medical Research and Head of Endocrinology at Monash Health. He is a clinician and an NHMRC Senior Principal Research Fellow whose research interest is in the field of molecular endocrinology and endocrine malignancy.
Professor Fuller has previously held a number of governance roles within research entities, including the Cancer Council of Victoria.
The VCA was established in 2013 to facilitate cancer research across Victoria.
Professor Fuller’s appointment is from June 2015 until September 2016.
