Types of bequests

Types of bequests

There are three main types of bequests you can include in your Will.

Residuary bequest: a bequest of all or part of your Estate after payment of costs and bequests to your family and friends.

Specific bequest: a bequest of valuable items such as real estate, shares or jewellery.

Pecuniary bequest: a specific sum of money.

We suggest you seek legal advice to ensure the wording in your Will clearly stipulates your wishes for the disbursement of your assets.
