The Cell Therapies Platform and Regenerative Medicine Platform hosts a biological Isolator that provides a fully contained environment suitable for the processing of human cells and tissue. This facility has been established to boost the clinical development of human cell-based therapies and regenerative medicine applications.
The Platform provides a flexible, cost-effective alternative to traditional cell therapy manufacturing and regenerative medicine facilities. It is available to researchers and commercial entities from within and outside the MHTP seeking to progress cell and tissue based therapies to the clinic. The platform houses the BioSpherix Xvivo ISO5 Isolator, an enclosed, integrated and fully controlled environment for cell and tissue processing. The Miltenyi MACSQuant Tyto clinical cell sorter and the GeSim BioScaffolder with 3D biological printing and melt electrospinning are additional capabilities within the facility.
