Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS) Associate Members
By Rob Clancy, staff writer
Congratulations to Associate Professor Claudia Nold who now holds an Associate Member position with the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS).
AAHMS is Australia’s leading health and medical science advocacy body. Collectively, it is a representative and independent voice, through which fellows and members engage with the community, industry and governments. AAHMS admits leading researchers (via peer review) as fellows of the academy.
Emerging research leaders (generally at Associate Professor level) are admitted as associate members if their contributions to the health and medical sciences are deemed to be of high quality.
“I feel very fortunate to be accepted in the AAHMS Mentorship program. In particular in these times when guidance and advice can make a big difference to a program. I am very much looking forward to sharing experiences and hearing about my mentor’s perspectives,” A Prof Nold said.
Associate Professor Atul Malhotra of Monash Newborn, who holds an honorary position with Hudson Institute, was also admitted to AAHMS as an Associated Member.
“I am really excited to be admitted to AAHMS as an associate member. I look forward to the opportunity to be mentored and interact with some of Australia’s best health and medical scientists,” A/Prof Atul Malhotra said.
