Why did you choose Hudson Institute and your research group?

I am so thrilled to be a student at Hudson Institute in the Cancer and Immune Signalling Research group. I chose the research group because one of the areas that they focus on is lung cancer, the high standard of their research, and the team work that I have observed during the first few months of my study. I look forward to being a good asset to this group as well as to Hudson Institute.

What is your research about and what do you hope to achieve?

Investigating the role of inflammasomes in the initiation and progression of lung adenocarcinoma. Two mice models are utilised in this research, KRAS and NNK. Identifying the role of inflammasomes, specifically AIM2, would reveal new potential therapeutic targets for lung adenocarcinoma.
