What is your research about and what do you hope to achieve?

We believe that there are 'leader cells' in ovarian cancer that not only lead metastasis, but are also responsible for disease relapse and chemotherapy resistance. It is our hope that by specifically destroying these leader cells that we can limit the spread of ovarian cancer cells and increase their vulnerability to chemotherapy.

What is it like being a student at Hudson Institute?

Being at Hudson Institute means you're surrounded by brilliant individuals, from fellow students to senior researchers. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience for you to learn from, and if the need arises - help and support is always by your side.

How will your research help others?

Ovarian cancer is one of the deadliest cancers in women. Late diagnoses and high relapse rates means that patients face poor survival outcomes. Ultimately, we hope to show that targeting ovarian cancer leader cells may lead to better outcomes for patients.
