The Ritchie Centre Special Seminar: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)


The Ritchie Centre (Hudson Institute and Monash University) will be holding a special seminar titled ‘Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy and Intrinsic Vulnerability’, presented by Professor Hannah Kinney and Assistant Professor Richard Goldstein from Harvard Medical School on Tuesday, March 7.

Professor Kinney’s research is aimed at defining the causes of SIDS. Her team is testing the idea that SIDS is caused by a developmental brainstem defect in autonomic and/or respiratory control during sleep.

Assistant Professor Goldstein is the Director of Robert’s program, a service that provides support to families who have lost a child under the age of three.
