Cycles for Science Study

What is this research about?

This study aims to investigate the major barriers preventing menstruating persons to participate in research involving the collection of menstrual fluid with a menstrual cup. We are seeking to understand the physical, social and emotional factors that may influence a person’s decision to participate as well as their comfort during such studies. We anticipate that the results of this study will enable better and more participant-focussed methods for conducting menstrual fluid studies.

Who can participate?

  • Menstruating women and persons
  • Aged over 18 years old

What is required?

We’ll ask you to fill out a 10-minute electronic survey that will capture your demographic information, menstrual characteristics, pregnancy history, and factors that may influence your willingness to donate menstrual blood.
