Biography
Dr Shazia Adjumain is a Postdoctoral Researcher, Functional Genomics – funded by Robert Connor Dawes Foundation, and is part of the Next Generation Precision Medicine team.
Dr Adjumain’s research focuses on identifying novel therapeutic targets in aggressive childhood brain cancers, with a particular emphasis on H3K27M-mutant Diffuse Midline Gliomas. Utilising functional genomic approaches such as CRISPR-Cas12 technology, her work aims to develop biomarker-driven strategies for novel therapeutics by integrating multi-omics datasets. The ultimate goal is to enable personalised treatment plans for every childhood cancer patient.
