Biography
Dr Chaitanya Inampudi is a Postdoctoral Scientist in the Signal Transduction in Cancer Biology group. She joined A/Prof Daniel Gough’s group at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research in 2021. Dr Inampudi completed her PhD in “Molecular basis for Amyloid Precursor Protein Mediated Neuroprotection in Traumatic Brain Injury” at the University of Melbourne in 2019.
Dr Inampudi’s current research focuses on understanding how the cytokines IL-6 and IL-10 regulate STAT3 activation, with particular emphasis on identifying STAT3 interacting proteins in response to cytokine stimulation. Her research involves proximity-labelling proteomic approaches, mass spectrometry and transcriptome analysis using IPSCs, tumour-derived cell lines, and genetic mouse models. By delineating STAT3 signalling mechanisms, her work provides a deeper understating of how immune and inflammatory responses are regulated, with potential relevance to disease intervention.
